You will see the error message: “Unable to Complete Cellular Plan Change” for a few reasons. The most common cause is poor internet/ wifi connection- please ensure that your device is connected to a stable internet connection.

Alternatively, check to make sure that you are not installing an eSIM that has already been activated.

What is an eSIM?

eSIM stands for embedded SIM card. It works exactly like a SIM card, however instead of a physical card, it is now in an electronic form and you can simply scan a QR code from your phone.

eSIM is much more convenient because it means you no longer have to switch physical sim cards and you don’t have to worry about losing the small card when you take them out!

An important note is that only a select device supports eSIM. See Which devices support eSIM? for more details.
